'For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son...' John 3:16
'...as the Father has sent Me, even so I am sending you.' John 20:21
The Outreach Ministry is about sharing the love of God through the disciple making process. This is a direct command from our Lord Jesus. We are to go and make disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:18-20).
Therefore, it is our desire is that everyone in AGPC be involved in this obligatory ministry. It starts with understanding our roles and responsibilities as individuals and as a church.
This is followed by the need to “go” which demands our availability and obedience. The process hinges on two areas: “Local Outreach” and “Overseas Outreach”.
Local Outreach looks at reaching out with God’s love within Singapore through social work in Filos and sharing the gospel with Alpha in the church. Overseas Outreach focuses on working with believers in other countries to share the love of God with the locals.
Vision: Every AGPCian a Missionary
Guiding Verses
Two key verses guide us in our strategies and operational matters:
19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
13 “You are the salt of the earth, but if salt has lost its taste, how shall its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trampled under people's feet.
14 “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.
AGPC Outreach Ministry is organised into two entities - Local & Overseas. The key purpose and intended outcome of our Outreach is Discipleship and our efforts are categorised as follows:
