Combined Service Livestream in May & June @ 9.30am
Worship is our heart-felt preoccupation with God, His Word, Calling and Purposes... "It is a language of love, respect and identification."
In Psalm 68:24-25, David gave us a clear picture of worship in the sanctuary when he penned, “Your procession is seen, O God, the procession of my God, my King, into the sanctuary—the singers in front…”
The importance of choirs goes way back in history. In I Chronicles 25, King David commissioned 288 Levite music leaders for the dedication of the Temple. If there were 288 conductors, just imagine how innumerable the singers must have been. Furthermore, Nehemiah proclaimed, regarding the dedication of the temple wall, “I also assigned two large choirs to give thanks.” Something uniquely touches the heart of the Creator when singers join together in songs of praise to Him, regardless of the time or place. The Choir plays a leading role in presenting the best of our voices to God in corporate worship.
The Adults’ Choir renders the anthem on 1st, 3rd & 5th Sundays of the month. They meet regularly on Sundays for practice from 1:30pm to 3:30pm in the Sanctuary under the baton of Mrs Maggie Gan.
The Children’s Choir, made up of children aged 7 to 14 years old, renders the anthem once in two months. They meet regularly on Sundays for practice from 1:30pm to 2:30pm in the Balchin Hall under the baton of Mr Patrick Yeo.
